Mosaic Standing Baptism Font

Custom-made for St. Joseph Hospital, Denver, CO

A unique font created for the chapel in St. Joseph Hospital, Denver. The font incorporates perpetually running water, tempered glass, bronze features and over 9,000 individually cut glass tiles. The design of the font structure and the mosaic tiles is rich in the symbolism and meaning of the sacrament of baptism. Jesus said, "Unless you are born of water and the Spirit, you cannot enter the Kingdom of Heaven." (John 3:5) This font emphasizes the descent into the water and rising into new life in the Holy Spirit.
